Using someone else’s Netflix account is one of the most common thing in today’s time. Though thing is likely to become a thing of past as the online streaming giant is testing a new feature, which will ensure that only those who own the account or live with the owners of the account are able to access to it.
While this feature was spotted by Gammawire, the streaming company confirmed that it is testing such a feature. A Netflix spokesperson told the Verge that “This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so.”

Every time someone new tries to access the account, Netflix will ask for a code sent either via email or phone number linked with the account. As per the screenshot, there will also be an option to ‘Verify Later’.
Report states that this new feature at present is being tested with a very small sample size of users.
Netflix currently has more than 200 million subscribers across the globe and still remains the most expensive streaming platform subscription in India.
