TWITTER WON’T ACCEPT VERIFICATION REQUESTS FOR NOW

Weeks after bringing back the verification program for its users, the Microblogging site Twitter on Friday decided to stop it. The social media company had rolled out this application five years back. While the Verification Request feature was not rolled out for all the users, Twitter had said that it will gradually roll out the application form.
According to an announcement made by Twitter on Friday, the company would not take any more requests. The social media company, which currently is in the centre of controversies owing to its decision to not comply with new regulations and its tussle with the Indian government said in the announcement that “We’re rolling in verification requests. So we gotta hit pause on accepting any more for now while we review the ones that have been submitted.We’ll reopen requests soon! (We pinky swear).”
